Energy Audit

Save Energy & Cut Costs

Start with an energy assessment or audit to find out where the opportunities to save money lie for your organisation.

Large enterprises are legally required to complete energy audits every four years under the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED). This requirement was transposed into Irish legislation in SI 426 of 2014 and is called the Energy Auditing Scheme in Ireland (known as the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme or ESOS in the UK).

If your organisation meets either or both of the following criteria, you must take an energy audit in accordance with statutory instrument (SI) 426 of 2014:

  • An enterprise that employs 250 people or more
  • An enterprise with an annual turnover in excess of €50m and an annual balance sheet total in excess of €43m

The next compliance deadline is 5th December 2019.

If you are an SME with energy or transport fuel costs over €20,000, Sustineo can help you to make considerable savings. We have also been providing technical assessments under SEAI’s programmes for SMEs, the public sector and schools and support may be available under these.

“Thank you for your support and interest over the past four months. It has been most helpful for us to take a focussed look at Fleet energy and get specialist advice on how best to proceed.”
